Sustainable Services

• Use of recycled wood products for landscape mulch (approximately 100,000 cubic yards annually). Recycled product, reduces waste in landfills, reducing the amount of water needed for plants.
• Design and install permeable pavement. Reduces runoff into water shed, reduces the amount of salt and chemicals needed for deicing keeping them out of water shed.
• Design and Install bio retention areas and rain gardens, reducing runoff. In some cases retaining all run off onsite and recycling for plant use.
• Live roof installation.
• Use of mulching mowers and blades on approximately 300 commercial sites in the area. Reduces amount of fertilizer, eliminates all waste that would go to landfill which equates to several hundred thousand cubic yards annually.
• Designing and installing drip irrigation. Reducing water requirements by up to 40 % from evaporation loss.
• Managing existing irrigation systems with correct runtimes and nozzles. Reduces amount of water needed and reduces runoff.
• Using reclaimed onsite water for irrigation. Saving potable water.
• Erosion and sedimentation control. Preserving topsoil and reducing siltation of water shed.
